National Tournament Semi Final Game
Yesterday at noon the Royal Irish were ready to begin their semi final game of the National Tournament. The opponent was Oaks Rugby of Danville, which is another Northern California Team. Parent nerves were high on the sidelines as Danville was late in taking the field. We knew this was a good team that we had seen a previous Nationals. They looked big and we knew they were physical.
The game begins and the Irish looked tough and confident. The first score was a kick by Brian Hannon. Ultimately, Hannon was responsible for all of our points, and all were from kicks. Despite a good defensive effort, Danville was able to score one try, and their kick was successful. Final score 12-7.
Today is the final game. The Royal Irish take the pitch at 3:15, and the opponent is Santa Monica.
